A 2023 review from a guest whose first visit in 2019 was superb alleges a sharp decline after the Sun Outdoors purchase: the store impossible to access after 4pm early in the week, few and disorganized activities, the pool closing at 8pm, pickleball courts and mini-putt abandoned with broken nets and only five mini-putt balls for the whole campground, and a beach trolley running fewer days and times - concluding the operator makes money before maintaining what set the park apart. FLAG on timing: the reviewer dates the change to a Sun Outdoors purchase around their 2023 return, while Sun's SEC schedule records ownership since 2015, so the perceived change likely tracks the later rebranding rather than the acquisition.
