- other — A detailed negative Tripadvisor review (roughly 2024) calls the resort a 'ghost town' being abandoned by former regulars and alleges: brown-tail moth nests throughout the trees; overflowing dumpsters alongside warnings about skunks; pool slides almost never open; roads in disrepair with large stones protruding 3-6 inches, which the reviewer disputes management attributing to flooding; unclean water; and price complaints including $10 for firewood that would not burn, $20 per guest just to enter, and $75/day canoe rental after motorboat rentals were discontinued. Most seriously for refund practices, the reviewer says a family medical emergency forced them to miss 5 nights; after shifting resolutions, the park allegedly offered only a $77 camp credit for the 5 lost nights, which the reviewer refused. Allegations from a single review. Original source
Themes: fees, amenities, maintenance, management, safety - other — A second Tripadvisor review from a week-long family stay alleges the full-hookup sites are very small, narrow and sloped - their sub-30ft trailer sat unleveled all week with rain running under the awning - and that hornets were so numerous their dog was stung twice and a 12-year-old was stung in the mouth drinking from a can; the pool was standing-room-only and looked unsanitary to the reviewer, and the camp store and grill were closed about half the time, which also closed off mini golf and disc golf. Staff did help shore up their broken jack, which the reviewer appreciated. Original source
