What residents say elsewhere
Collected from public sources, summarized and attributed, with links to the originals. Summaries describe what reviewers and reporters say; allegations are not findings.
- other — Tripadvisor review of Sun Retreats Wild Acres (a separate property and listing from Sun Retreats Old Orchard Beach): the reviewer describes a very large campground (about 650 spaces) that is clean and well maintained but cramped, with very narrow paved roads, expensive firewood and ice ('get it before you arrive'), a back beach-access exit closed to vehicles between 8pm and 8am with very limited parking, and a shuttle that is hard to use because the park is at the end of the route. Seasonal campers make up much of the population. A separate 2025 review set notes RV and tent sites extremely close together with no trees for privacy, and a frequently running train close to the sites including through the night. Original source
