- other · 3.2 (198 reviews) — Tripadvisor rates this resort (669 Route 9, formerly Lake Laurie / Cape May KOA) 3.2 across 198 reviews. One group camper blames a stagnant stream, poor drainage and leaking water spigots around the 600-series sites for a severe mosquito infestation, says the lower 600 sites turned to swamp when it rained, and reports the camp store delivered wet firewood and refused to take it back. Themes: maintenance, utilities, management - other — A camper reports bathrooms in filthy condition with stalls out of toilet paper for days and overflowing dumpsters, and says that after the group left for a day of sightseeing they returned at 11pm to find their entire campsite - folding chairs, grill, towels, even leveling blocks - stolen. The reviewer also describes marginal electrical power (about 100-105V), says they left early forfeiting the rest of the trip, and calls the park rundown for its price. Original source
Themes: safety, maintenance, utilities, management - other — A seasonal park-model resident reports orange water that stained his RV water filters every month, staff who were difficult to deal with apart from the managers, and rules largely unenforced on holiday weekends; the reviewer says they moved their seasonal site to Seashore Campsites at almost double the price for a nicer, updated park. Original source
Themes: utilities, management, rent - other — Circa 2020, Sun era: a family camping with six households alleges the manager, named as Todd, screamed at their 16-year-old daughters over driving a parent's golf cart, then screamed at their mother the next day and ordered the family to pack up and leave within one hour - while the father was out on a fishing trip and unable to move the camper - threatening to call the police to escort them out. Themes: management - other · 2025-08-08 — August 2025 guest reviews on RVParx: one family that paid $140 per night alleges false advertising of the beach and amenities (no staffed paddle boats or canoes, no children's activities), moldy and dirty bathrooms, and a store that closed by 4pm daily, with management offering only excuses; another guest the same week reports sewer on the ground, garbage everywhere, loud parties and no security, and describes an interim manager in tears about being overworked and stressed.
