- google-reviews — Park-specific Google reviews for Woodland Park Estates (1699 N Terry St, Eugene - address-verified as distinct from Lakeridge of Eugene at 3355 N Delta Hwy). Resident complaints include: space rent raised about 3 percent per year with slow maintenance and allegedly unfair handling of resident complaints; a reviewer alleges rent increases every year while services are cut back, storm drains not cleaned for over 5 years and flooding in winter, a cold pool, and needed speed bumps not installed; a prospective buyer says the manager repeatedly blew them off when they tried to buy a home in the park. The most serious account: a reviewer says he and his bedridden wife had lived there 25 years and never missed a rent payment; after his stroke (which he dates to Oct 2015) the park started eviction proceedings in Oct 2015, took possession of their home for abandonment after Nov 30, 2015 while they were in medical care, and as of May 16, 2017 they were still homeless. Themes: rent, maintenance, management, sales, safety - other · 2018-05-18 — A May 18, 2018 review of Woodland Park Estates (1699 North Terry Street) describes very strict management: residents must get permission for any and all home improvements and are told what color they may paint their home. Themes: management - news · 2026-04-02 — Local news report of an April 2, 2026 fire inside a home at 1699 North Terry Street in Woodland Park Estates: a passerby spotted smoke and called 911 at about 10:20 a.m.; both occupants were unaware the home was burning, were transported to the hospital with serious injuries, and a cat was rescued; the fire marshal's office is investigating the cause. The report notes the blaze sharpened officials' smoke-detector warning because it was a stranger, not a working alarm, that alerted anyone, and describes the community as one of West Eugene's largest affordable housing communities - built 1989, managed by Sun Communities, 398 home sites, with lot rents between $400 and $800 per month.
