What residents say elsewhere
Collected from public sources, summarized and attributed, with links to the originals. Summaries describe what reviewers and reporters say; allegations are not findings.
- google-reviews — Google reviews for Comal Farms (228 Limestone Dr) include a detailed account from a resident whose family rented and then owned a trailer there: they allege lot rent goes up $100 each year after the first year of ownership, constant violation notes left on the door (including for grass one inch too long), a gate that is closed only about 10% of the time, 11 speed bumps between the gate and their trailer, and that office staff agreed to a 3-month lease extension in writing and then allegedly misrepresented it. Another reviewer writes they wish the park would buy their mobile home back so they can leave. Allegations from individual reviewers. Original source
Themes: rent, buyback, management, maintenance - other — Via Birdeye aggregate (pool-mixing documented; park attribution uncertain): 241 reviews. One visible review says the writer's mother moved in about 5 years ago at roughly $275/month lot rent that was said to be guaranteed for 3 years, but alleges the park raised it after about 6 months and kept raising it roughly every 6 months. Another visible review is from a self-described 41-year resident alleging a manager admitted problem tenants over long-time residents' written complaints. FLAG: the same Birdeye page also displays a review about Rancho Caballero Mobile Home Park (a different Sun park in California), direct evidence of cross-park pool mixing on this page - attribute nothing from this pool to Comal Farms without corroboration. Themes: rent, management, safety - other · 4.1 (58 reviews) — Loc8NearMe shows Comal Farms at 4.1 across 58 reviews with a much more positive recent mix - multiple August 2024 reviews praise the manager for help through the home-buying process and describe a quiet community - a contrast with the older complaint accounts above.
