What residents say elsewhere
Collected from public sources, summarized and attributed, with links to the originals. Summaries describe what reviewers and reporters say; allegations are not findings.
- review · 1.0 · 2021-10-13 — A Tripadvisor reviewer alleges that once a reservation is made at this resort (13701 US-191, the former Archview RV Resort) it cannot be cancelled or changed, alleging the reviewer got absolutely no response by phone or email, was repeatedly sent to voicemail, and characterizes the reservation system as a scheme to keep guests' money. A second reviewer (June 2022 stay) steered readers away from the cabins as not worth the money. Original source
Themes: fees, management - review · 2026-04 — Tripadvisor listing (394 reviews across Excellent-to-Terrible bands) for the 13701 US-191 property: an April 2026 reviewer who has stayed at other Sun Outdoors parks calls this one a brand disappointment, alleging very tight RV spaces, worn picnic tables that would splinter clothing and arms, no room to park a tow car, and a poor check-in experience attributed to understaffing or disorganization because check-in shares the Chevron convenience store. Management responded May 1, 2026 saying the comments would be addressed. Original source
Themes: maintenance, management, amenities - review — Campendium/Roadtrippers guests report nightly rates of $80-$87 at this far-north Moab property. Reviewers allege the advertised Wi-Fi is effectively unusable and blocks VPN access, and that tech support tried to sell an internet upgrade that still did not allow VPNs; other guests allege badly unlevel sites, bathrooms not cleaned or re-soaped during an entire stay, and trash not emptied. Several note heavy ATV traffic and constant highway noise. Original source
Themes: utilities, maintenance, rent - other — Sun's published cancellation terms for this resort (via Go Camping America): 'long-term guests' with stays of 30 nights or longer may cancel for a full deposit refund only up to 45 days before check-in; cancelling after that forfeits all required deposits, and no refunds are given for any cancellation after check-in. Short-term guests get a full deposit refund only up to 14 days before check-in, with the same forfeiture and no-post-check-in-refund structure. Original source
